Coaching is a wonderful way to engage in personal, relational, and/professional growth. Unlike some therapies, coaching tends to focus more on moving forward than on going backward. It’s also used when there are no pressing psychiatric diagnoses to address or when a client’s mental health needs are being supported adequately elsewhere. Instead of increasing a client’s ability to reprocess past experiences, coaching is more directive by assisting clients with current/future personal & professional projects by creating as well as reinforcing collaborative action plans.
