In the field of psychotherapy & clinical social work, it’s not only ethical but essential for clinicians to receive adequate supervision from trusted professionals who are well-respected in the field & competent in their specialty areas. This not only helps them grow professionally, but it also positively influences their interactions with clients as it helps them learn new tools, polish their skill set, & practice within their scope - what every client deserves & should expect with the professionals they choose to work with. Here at Heart Stone, we value professional development, personal growth, self-care, & client care. Because of this, no matter how little or how much experience a clinician has, each psychotherapist is required to attend:

  • 1-2x/month clinical supervision with our Clinical Director (a trauma specialist certified in EMDR, BSP & TF-CBT).

  • A monthly HSTH IFS consultation with a certified IFS clinician/trainer.

  • Monthly ongoing clinical supervision with a Contracted Clinical Supervisor outside of HSTH that specializes in the client population they serve (see below).

  • Any additional supervision outside of the agency when ethically & clinically appropriate.
