LMSW (They/Them) • Psychotherapist & Intake Assessor

Whether you are looking for ways to improve symptoms of anxiety, depression, learning how to navigate substance misuse, or learning how to find your true self for the first time, AJ is here to provide the space needed to explore your inner self and what it means to be uniquely you. AJ has 5 years of experience in the field in both residential and outpatient settings, working with adults who struggle with trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance misuse. They’re well-versed in crisis intervention and harm reduction. AJ uses a trauma-informed lens to provide a safe environment for all emotions and experiences, which aids clients in finding their strengths and gently processing harmful thoughts/behaviors so they can live a life that feels true to them.

As a queer person with anxiety and depression, AJ understands just how difficult it can be to navigate living in a way that is respectful and true to yourself in a world of constant change. Their goal is to assist clients in finding what feels right in their bodies by using a combination of approaches unique to each individual.

AJ understand how limiting social norms can cause us to feel distant from our true selves, and how harmful masking our true identities can be to our well-being. Healing is not a linear process, and having someone like AJ be present and gentle can help you feel safe enough to try living authentically, which is the bravest thing we can do for ourselves.
